Ethanol Blending Beyond 20% Needs Scientific Study, Stakeholder Consultations: Govt

The Government has no plans to increase ethanol blending in petrol beyond the current E20 level, Petroleum Minister Suresh Gopi told Rajya Sabha. Any future increase will depend on scientific studies and consultations. India achieved its E20 target ahead of schedule, saving ₹1.97 lakh crore in forex and reducing emissions.
